Terms and Conditions – Swimming Lessons
Dive Into Swimming Lesson Terms and Conditions
Please note: The team at ‘Dive Into Swimming’ cannot accept liability for any circumstances or situations beyond our control, nor any consequential impacts that may arise as a result.
1. General Lesson Policies
- All lessons will have a maximum 6:1 pupil-to-teacher ratio in line with Swim England guidelines. This will not be exceeded for normal group lessons (this may change for other classes, e.g. School swimming, but bather load or maximum ratios will not be exceeded). If a teacher is unable to take the lesson, another teacher must be present. Pupils cannot transfer to another teacher where the class ratio is already at capacity.
- Lessons are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you preferred day or timeslot is not available, you will be offered an alternative or may choose to join the waiting list.
- Term lengths will change based on school terms and our individual schedule; therefore, the cost and length of each term may vary.
- Our teachers will be responsible for you/your child during their 30-minute lesson ONLY. You must stay in building during lessons, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian/carer to look after children at all other times whilst on the Dive Into Swimming premises, including any children or siblings spectating.
- Children must wait to enter the pool until the swim teacher instructs them it is safe to do so.
- Swimmers should aim to arrive no more than 5 minutes before the lesson and leave as quickly as possible after the lesson to allow for maximum comfort in the changing rooms.
- When booking, you must divulge all known medical and physical conditions for the child in question. This allows us to accommodate their needs. If there are
any changes whilst enrolled in one of our courses, please email us immediately so we can update our records. All information regarding this matter will be kept
confidential by our staff.
2. Payment & Refunds
- Before any swimming lessons can commence, the whole term fee must be paid upfront unless alternate payment agreements have been agreed prior to this. Payments will be checked by staff before the first lesson is due to begin. Should your child join midway through the term, the cost for the remaining lessons in the
term will be charged. In specific circumstances, there may be an opportunity to pay half-termly. - Refunds will not be permitted unless the missed lesson is the fault of Dive into Swimming. Additionally, refunds will only be given when rescheduling is not possible.
- We do not allow lessons to be carried over to the next term. Only in exceptional circumstances will we allow to swimmers to carry lessons over; these will be judged on a case-by-case basis and cannot be guaranteed.
- If a lesson is missed, it is the customers responsibility to arrange a make-up lesson, please do so by emailing: hello@diveintoswimming.com. Please note, a
MAXIMUM of 2 lessons can be made-up per term - Four weeks before the end of the term, you will be asked if the enrolled swimmer wishes to continue with lessons for the next term. If so, you will have specified
time period to pay for the renewal to secure the spot. If you fail to do so, you will be issued one last reminder before the space is offered to another swimmer. If
there is a reason for late payment or you do not wish to continue with lessons, please inform the swim school at your earliest convenience.
